Cabana - Webster Groves, MO

Kirkwood Corner Lot

The client wanted to fit as much house as possible on an existing teardown corner property in Kirkwood, MO.  To add to the two-sided lot problem was a significant elevation change from the front to the back of the lot that made entry to the garage and driveway a challenge.  The end result was a four-bedroom classy traditional style house with a homage to the arts and crafts movement.  The house has a large, open living area with a fireplace and immediate access to the kitchen.  A raised front porch with friendly ties to the community sets off the house like a cherry on a sundae!

Home Addition

This home was built many years ago and added onto several times before our project. The owners wished to renovate their existing home and add onto the rear of it to obtain a new kitchen, living room, and sitting area. They also wanted an oversized two-car garage. MDG more than doubled the size of their existing home, giving them a unique kitchen combined with a usable island with storage and seating for meals. The living room took advantage of the existing two-story portion of the home to give them a magnificent beamed ceiling with a chandelier.  The living room also features a modern built-in fireplace and soaring windows. For the end of the day, MDG placed a sitting room in the corner of the addition, taking advantage of the view.  A two-car garage was added to the side for a more convenient way to enter the house.
